"If you are staying in the area this is a good place to grab a quick bite. Was not busy when we were there (Thursday night). Ordered the large burger and it was a lot of beef! Bacon was very hearty. Everyone enjoyed their food and servers were pleasant. Go check it out."

"Great place for some awesome burgers! I was recommended this place while in town and will be coming back again. Great giant burgers and very friendly staff! Highly recommend this place"

"I'm writing this in the car after literally just leaving the restaurant. The food was great beyond expectation. There was obviously a wait for the food but even my picky child said the wait was well worth it! It was fantastic. Large portions, inexpensive options, friendly servers, everything you could hope for in a small town restaurant. We got fried pickles as an appetizer and got an ENTIRE BOWL of fried pickle strips. Lastly, get a pie! You will not be disappointed. I personally recommend the lemon pie!"

"One of the 3 best burgers in Alabama!! Can't begin to describe how good, but the burgers are hand pattied to order, the lettuce and tomatoes are exceptionally fresh. The staff is very friendly and the setting is old school country diner 10 out of 10 experience!!!!"

"Tonight, the plan was to find a great burger and see some Christmas lights....well, this place served up one heck of a burger! As soon as you walk in, it smells like an old time cafe. Staff is super friendly! Jamie served my daughter and me. Fried pickle fries are a must. I don't know where this ranch is from but it is the best ranch I've tasted. The bacon cheeseburger, well it was tasty and huge! I could only eat half!! Onion rings delish!! Curly fries--YES!!!! Cheesecake.....if you don't get it you will regret it!! This is what a real American cafe is supposed to be like!!! Big applause! One of the best places I have ever eaten!!"

"Wife and I stopped here today as we visited the local state park. Staff was friendly and service was excellent. Wife ordered the BLT, fried mushrooms, and corn nuggets. I had fried livers, curley fries, and fried okra. Both meals were prepared fresh and came out piping hot!! The cafe had great southern charm and was very clean! A must stop if you are in the area!"

"2023: When we come to the Longest Garage Sale in early August of each year we always stop at the Big Time Cafe in Dog Town, AL. During the sale weekend the place is usually packed so it is best visit during the mid-morning or mid-afternoon hours in order to get a table right away. The cafe offers a variety of foods, but i can only comment on the hamburgers and fries because that is what we always order. Warning, the burger patties are thick so unless you are really hungry and can get your mouth around a very thick burger, get the single patty instead of the double. 2024: As usual, we stopped again off of the Longest Garage Sale route at the Big Time Cafe. As is our cousin, my wife and I both both had hamburgers and fries. My wife got the regular hamburger while I got the large one, but at least I wasn't foolish enough to get the double patties on the large one again. It plenty to eat, even for a big boy like me. It was all delicious even though fries could've been left in the hot oil just a little bit longer. 2025 during the Longest Garage Sale we stopped again at the Big Time Cafe. My wife had the hamburger steak with fried squash and little potatoes as sides. I had the large hamburger which came with french fries. My wife really enjoyed her meal and had to ask for a box to take the uneaten part of it home. I am wise in the ways of the place so I knew you enough not to go for the double patty hamburger, but even the large single patty had at least a third of a pound of brown meat. It was excellent, and the fries were crispy on the outside and soft from the inside. Oh, by the way, the Diet Cokes we ordered came in a huge Dr Pepper glasses. We always enjoy our yearly lunch at the big-time Cafe."
